About Tommy Reid
Many people can tell I am not originally from the Binghamton area as soon as I speak. I was born and raised in Queens, NY (a stones throw away from Shea Stadium) and was a NYC Police Officer for 15 years. I received numerous Commendations during my time with the NYPD. One of them being a Combat Cross, the second highest medal given by the NYPD. After being injured in the line of duty and put out on retirement by the Police Department, my wife and I decided it was time for a change. A time for a change from the crowdedness and high cost of living in New York City. We chose the Binghamton Area to help us make that change. So, in 2006 we moved out of New York City and into the Westside of Binghamton, NY.
After so many years of dealing with the public in their times of need I realized that I missed it. Not being able to go back into law enforcement due to my injury I looked into many different new careers and chose real estate. Real estate sales gives me the opportunity to work with people and help them in their home buying/selling process. I feel that I had one of the most stressful jobs that any person could have, so the stress of dealing with banks and attorneys comes easy to me.
